The Little Poster That Toured The World.
The Company
Melles Griot is a multi-faceted international company and major OEM supplier for the design, manufacture, and distribution of lasers, optics, and optical systems and a division of Barloworld Scientific, a diversified industrial leader for highly niched scientific product markets.
The Challenge
As an international company, Melles Griot Human Resources oversees a vast employee pool. As part of their on-going HR commitment to build community, Melles Griot asked Rhizome design a campaign of employee support posters that would garner company spirit and support a cross-culture of engagement.
The Solution
Normally, Rhizome is assigned projects for the Melles Griot international marketplace. However, this project was exclusively geared to the internal audience. A Team Member Recognition Program poster campaign highlighted various employee morale-boosting programs. Using the theme "Participate. Nominate. Celebrate." Rhizome designed a series of posters that would be posted in offices and manufacturing plants around the globe.
The Follow-up
Originally conceived as a series of four posters, the campaign has now expanded to nine posters and is being used in a world-wide HR campaign that has been translated into Japanese with plans for multiple language translations for the global HR community.
