The Background
Triad Distributing is one of the leading distributors of quality hardware for home and business. Much of its commerce is in private label brands and they needed a "template" package design that could be used for a variety of private label clients. The initial project involved the redesign of Franklin Building Supply's "Heritage" private label packaging.
The Challenge
The first step was to design a template that was compelling enough to carve out market share for the Heritage line, but was flexible enough it could be adapted to accomplish that same market ownership for other Triad private label brands. All this had to be implemented without diluting the strength of the Heritage brand.
The Solution
Utilizing bold, compelling images that reflect the industrial strength of the product, the new package also gives a nod to the nostalgia and tradition of well-crafted items. By holding true to the tenets of creative excellence, Rhizome was able to combine real client needs with market-driven innovations, creating a packaging environment that is unique, compelling and flexible.
The Result
TThe new packaging concept and design for Heritage was so well received by consumers and Triad customers alike, the new package increased Triad Distributing's business five-fold.
