Responsibilities:

UX/UI Design, Development & Writing

The Challenge:

Design a new website that takes the Land Trust into the future and empowers them to take care of the site easily on the back-end. Find better ways to connect members and supporters to projects, volunteer opportunities and news from the Jefferson Land Trust.

The Solution:

This beautiful WordPress site invites the public to learn more about the Land Trust through articles and events and offers both video and photo galleries. A custom-built protected properties interface allows admins to populate data fields for a creative “Field Guide” section as part of the page. Rhizome illustrated custom icons to denote property characteristics such as wetland, farmland, tribal lands, landmarks or type of wildlife found in the area. We encouraged this client to integrate EventBrite as part of their events strategy plan. It was a hit. Within one month of launching the site and six weeks before their annual “Rainfest” farm-to-table event, the event was sold out with no hiccups.
